His coaching style is rooted in precision, pressure, and professionalism—shaped by decades of training at the highest levels and a parallel career in front-line critical care.
Sean began his martial arts journey in 1989 with full-contact karate, earning his black belt by 1995 and competing successfully across Canada and the U.S.
He transitioned to mixed martial arts in the late ’90s and has since trained under many of the sport’s most respected fighters and coaches. His approach is direct, disciplined, and constantly evolving—built to prepare students for real-world performance, not theory.

In addition to his role as Head Coach, Sean serves as Medical & Safety Liaison for Honey Badger Muay Thai & BJJ. With 30 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in ICU and emergency trauma, he brings a level of safety oversight that is rare in combat sports. This background informs everything from training protocols to injury prevention and real world combat emergency preparedness.
